Not sure how many words- have a look at the vocabulary pages.
The level is around intermediate, but it’s difficult to say because we don’t really cover vocabulary topics, more the structures.

Hi!
I was actually looking for an english course on youtube, and found a good teacher. When I searched for a course in spanish as well, I think I found it’s the same californian guy!! You do it simple and slowly and you’re very pedagogical, a huge inspiration for me as a teacher myself
Seems like stage 8 is the latest update so fare from you, but I would like to pay for it if you make some more
By the way, it works fine with the english version even though I’m norwegian, since there are a lot of similarities between english and spanish

Please do more especially the future tense
I am going to work through them with my 17 year old son who wants to go to Spain for his gap year

Are you guys going to add more stages? If so, is it going to be free? I just finished stage 8 and i learned a lot. I now talk to the beautiful Spanish girl from my class and she thinks its cute since im an asian guy speaking spanish
I think this course is really good. I learned more spanish here than from the 3 years of spanish i took in high school. I hope you guys could add more. muchas gracias
I am going to Colombia for the holidays and needed to learn Spanish fast, but easy and I found your website. It is absolutly the way to learn another language. fantastic. I hope you do more advance lessons and would not mind to pay for it because after all your method saves lots of time and money and at the end the students learn to speak Spanish the right way.

I am a cna for a patient from Costa Rica that speaks very little English,I have been using many different resources to learn Spanish.I just found your site today and I must say mucho gracias because I’ve learned more in a few hours here than I’ve learned in 6 mos. any other way.

Just thought I’d let you know I’ve been trying to learn Spanish for 6 months and never found it easy until this website.. My Spanish girlfriend is away for the next 3 weeks so I might impress her when she gets home.Keep the video’s coming, they are fantastic

I love these courses! I’ve tried many different programs and this is the first one where it really clicked for me. I can only find lessons up to 8c on You Tube and then there is a gap until 16a. Is there another way that I can access them? Are lessons 9 – 15 still available on You Tube? I really can’t say enough good things about your program. Awesome!

I just found your site this evening and I am impressed and encouraged. I have been trying to self teach and it is very difficult to stay focused and stick to one course when there are so many to try out. Your method of instruction appeals to me and I can see how I will progress by sticking with your course.I’m just a little over 60. I’ll be at it again tomorrow.

I took the GCSE and got an A thank you guys! We are now living in Cadaques, northern Spain/Catalunya for several months so I really want to get going talking and using my spanish. This is working really well for me! I just moved into a town of 30k and >60% speak spanish and I don’t speak any. Does this site have any different languages as well with the same lesson plan?? (I’m beginning Russian). Thanks

I’ve only done a few of the lessons, and i’m currently trying a few different sites. but the lessons i’ve covered so far have helped a great deal. The technique used on this site helps me retain the words. Thanks for such a great site. I really wish this lesson structure was available in a few other languages, as i’m also learning chinese.
I’ve been trying to find good Spanish lessons for a very long time. All of them have frustrated me at some level. That is, until I found this site through YouTube. Thanks for having this available as free lessons for everyone to benefit from. I really enjoy learning through these instructions that are broke down in to easy to understand structures and presented in a manner that is slow enough to grasp on to. I’m sharing this link with others who may be interested in learning Spanish!

Hi I wanted to tell you this is a great site. I have been with my husband for 6 years now (he is from Mexico) and I learned more in just a couple hours then he has in are whole relationship. Oh and Im going to Mexico in 6 months for the first time ever to meet my mother in law so this site is a godsend she doesn’t speak a word of english. Anyway thanks a lot and keep them coming so I can keep learning

hello,i started to learn spanish a few years ago because i seemed to be going to spanish speaking countries on holiday every year.I did learn myself quite well but i got to a certain level and could not go any further for some reason it just didnt sink in and so i lost interest, however after finding this site tengo que decir es brilliant.As Jordan says if you make more lessons i will willingly pay as the first 8 seem to be really good value.
I have no words to express ,how great this course is. I come from Sri Lanka work as a german english translator for the swiss goverment ,I was just try to learn a little spanish for fun. I bought many books ect.. but the gentleman conducting this course is a great genius. He would never be able to imagine how good this course is.You are simply the best language teacher I have known and I have been learning languages for ages ha ha. It’s just a different format. Click on the lesson and the same video comes up.

the website isn’t wrkin right. if I click on lessons 10-15 it goes to a page that says “help to keep ProSpanish free” and has a big blue box. There’s nothing else on the page and nothing to click on or anything.

Is this Spanish as spoken in Spain, I have heard that in Latin America they speak differently, is that true, are there any big differences? Great course thankyou.
This is Spanish as spoken in Spain, but there isn’t much difference. The same sort of difference as between British English and American English.

Great course! Thanks. Went to Spain for 2 months, and practised before and during the stay. Wonderful – could understand more and more. The course completed with Spanish tv and listening to Spanish every day around me was good. Now back in Sweden, I continue my lessons (now lesson 12 …).
So, when finished, what to continue with? Would like to get some ideas of easy reading, for example. Proposals?

Harry Potter in Spanish is a nice straightforward book. You will still need to use a dictionary quite a bit, but you will learn loads.
